100th Anniversary Mazda MX-5 Miata exclusive design elements
The commemorative MX-5 Miata will be offered with the RF (retractable fastback) option or an exclusive red soft top. Its exterior color will be a vibrant shade of premium white paint called Snowflake White Pearl Mica, and it will be complemented by red styling and accents. At the front fender you will find a “100 Years 1920 – 2020″ badge that is minimalist and subtle in nature, and the wheel center caps also give a nod to the car’s centennial celebration with the 100th Anniversary special logo in classy red and black.
Inside, you’ll find sophisticated red leather seats and red carpet. The red floor mats contain the same logo you’ll find on the front fender, while the seats’ headrests are embossed with the 100th Anniversary special logo. Mazda even thought to create a unique key fob with this special edition, embossing it with the 100th Anniversary special logo.
The 100th Anniversary Mazda MX-5 Miata is based on the existing 2020 MX-5 Grand Touring model and comes with a mighty four-cylinder Skyactiv®-G engine that hammers out as much as 181 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft of torque. You’ll have the option of pairing that engine with a Skyactiv®-MT six-speed manual transmission or a quick-shifting Skyactiv®-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. For the manual transmission fans out there, you may be interested to know that this transmission will include a limited-slip differential as well as Bilstein® dampers, a front shock tower brace, and a sport-tuned suspension. The RF version of the manual transmission model also comes with a black roof, if that is more your style.
